From Bath To Books
Nicola will be sharing how she first got into writing, and telling us a little more about some of her books. There will be some readings from them. She will also be talking about some of her future projects and taking questions from the audience.
Poems of Time and Place
James will be doing a recitation of his poetry along with speaking about what things have inspired him over the years: childhood, growing up, memories, the sea, ecology, stars, planets and folklore.

Were witches real? That’s a matter of belief but I’ll tell you about three women from Bideford who were accused, tryed and executed as witches in 1682. Their names were Temperance Lloyd, Susanna Edwards and Mary Trembles. In the talk you’ll find out what they did to earn their legacy and learn about how suspected witches were punished for their crimes, with a history on English witchcraft thrown in!
